Capture the brew
Use quick log, method-specific fields, guided timers and offline capture. Add a grind analysis when it helps; the original photo stays on your device.
BREW VERO
Brew Vero is a free private coffee system for home brewers, made by Barista in Pajamas. Quickly log a cup, guide the brew with a method-aware timer, save recipes, track fresh coffee, measure grind particles from a photo, run controlled experiments, and receive recommendations that explain their confidence. Import your history, connect supported devices, or share a recipe only when you choose. Sign in with Google to keep your private workspace synced across devices.
ONE CONNECTED COFFEE SYSTEM
Brew Vero connects the coffee you opened, the recipe you followed, what your grinder produced, how the cup tasted, and what you should test next. Your records become practical context—not a pile of isolated notes.
Use quick log, method-specific fields, guided timers and offline capture. Add a grind analysis when it helps; the original photo stays on your device.
Keep reusable recipes, coffee-lot freshness, water profiles, equipment, tasting notes and grind reports together. Search, filter, compare, edit or brew again.
Use Brew IQ, controlled experiments, best-recipe baselines, water context, grinder curves and confidence-aware recommendations to choose the next useful change.
Back up or import your history, capture supported scale and refractometer readings, create anonymous links, or opt into a deliberately quiet recipe Commons.
No account is required to analyze a grind or open a shared link. Google sign-in is for saving and syncing your private workspace. Brew Vero requests your name, email address and profile picture—never access to your email, and never permission to publish automatically. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
BREW JOURNAL
Every cup, tracked
Quick log, guided brew timer, saved recipes, coffee-lot freshness and offline capture make the journal useful every day. Search the history, brew a cup again, or compare a focused set when you want more detail.
FROM DAILY HABIT TO USEFUL INTELLIGENCE
Start with a twenty-second log. Add recipes, grind measurements, water, experiments or connected readings only when they answer a real question.
A personalized starting point, repeatable recipes, method-aware fields, timers, inventory and offline-first brew capture.
Controlled experiments, best observed recipes, water profiles, grinder calibration, cost analytics and Learn guidance tied to your records.
Download a versioned backup, restore earlier Brew Vero data, or import compatible Beanconqueror and CSV brew histories.
Capture supported readings, share identity-free recipes and anonymized reports, or publish deliberately to the moderated recipe Commons.
GRIND LAB
Measure the grind
Print the calibration mat, sprinkle grounds, shoot from above. You get D10/D50/D90, span, fines, a brew-method match and a flavor projection, measured on this device. Save any reading to your library.
Flavor and brew projections are heuristics from the size distribution alone. Detection floor ≈ 100 µm. Method adapted from Jonathan Gagné's open-source coffeegrindsize (MIT). Grind analysis is free without an account; saving a report and the brew journal both need one.
BIP Coffee Particle Analyzer
Pick profiles now or after the analysis: you can change them before saving.

Administration
Approvals, members, messages, catalog health, and the grinder reference now live in a protected workspace outside the customer app.
About you
My espresso setup
Selected grinders appear at the top of the picker when you analyze a sample.
Add a grinder
Not in the list? Add it: usable immediately in your account, and sent to the Barista in Pajamas review queue for the public list.
My coffees
Private to your account; submitted ones are reviewed before joining the public list.
Roast date and bag price are optional: add them to unlock freshness and cost-per-cup in the Log's analytics.

Security
Portability & recovery
Create a complete Brew Vero backup, restore an older backup, or bring brew history from another journal. Imports merge safely and never delete existing records.
Profile, brews, coffees, recipes, experiments, water, equipment and grind reports.
Versions 1–7 are migrated to the current structure before anything is written.
Import Beanconqueror JSON/ZIP exports or a broadly compatible brew-history CSV.
Import is additive: matching backup IDs are updated, while journal imports create new records. Files are read on this device and are not uploaded as files. Account deletion still removes your stored data and sign-in permanently.

Today
Your recent brews and active coffees will shape this space.
Log a brew
Start with a saved recipe or record the method, extraction and taste from scratch.
Brew history
Find a cup, repeat it, or compare a filtered set with Brew IQ.
Recipe book
Save a method once, guide the timer from it, then brew it again without rebuilding the form.
Coffee lots
Track roast age, opened date and remaining coffee. Logged doses reduce the active lot automatically.
Useful intelligence
Recommendations show their sample size and confidence. Brew Vero describes patterns in what you logged; it does not pretend correlation is certainty.
Experiment mode
Choose a baseline recipe and planned values. Brew Vero carries everything else forward so the result is easier to interpret.

Brew Vero ecosystem
Your private journal remains the centre. Devices, sharing and community are optional layers you can use independently—and disconnect at any time.
Optional scale
Connect a browser-compatible Bluetooth Weight Scale service. Unsupported scales can still use manual capture.
Optional refractometer
Capture a TDS reading manually or through a serial bridge that sends a line such as TDS:1.35.
Private-link sharing
Recipe links carry only the recipe itself. Anonymized grind-report links remove your coffee, grinder, photo, timestamp and account details.
Brew Vero Commons · opt in
Publish only when you choose. The Commons has no follower counts, comments, direct messages, streak rankings or public brew ratings. People can copy a recipe into their private book or report it for review.
Brew IQ
Tick up to 10 brews and read them together: what your best cups have in common, what actually moves your rating, and what to change on the next one.
